ADDING HIERARCHIES, CALCULATED FIELDS, AND TABLE CALCULATIONS
In Tableau, data hierarchies and calculated fields usually are not created in the data source window but are instead added as the need arises during the actual analysis process. Nevertheless, these changes to the data model will be stored as part of the data source. (If you know what calculated fields you need beforehand, you can add them by selecting Create Calculated Field in the previously mentioned context menu.)
