PRELIMINARY CONSIDERATIONS
Before sharing anything with your colleagues or other audiences, have a final look at the following checklist:
- Can the intent of the dashboard be understood in less than 30 seconds?
- Will the end user know which questions this dashboard can help them answer?
- Is it clear what data goes into the dashboard and what the different calculated fields do?
- Will the interactivity help the end user?
- Is it clear what the different colors mean, or do they require a legend?
- Does the verbiage explain the purpose of the dashboard and help the user to navigate the charts and interactive elements?
- Did you list the data sources that were used?
- Does the dashboard's use of data comply with your country's legal regulations and your organization's guidelines around data security?
