Objective 8.1 – Configure Auto Deploy for ESXi hosts
Auto Deploy installation is a way to PXE boot your ESXi hosts from a central Auto Deploy server. This method relies on the use of master images with a set of rules to deploy ESXi with the desired specifications. Auto Deploy can also be used along with the vSphere Host Profiles feature to customize all ESXi hosts, ensuring a consistent configuration within the infrastructure. The vSphere Auto Deploy feature is the most efficient and suitable method to use to deploy ESXi hosts, especially in large environments.
To take advantage of the Auto Deploy feature, you need the Enterprise Plus license.
