Summary


This chapter provided you with an inside look at the different components of the HoloLens device. You saw the major components of the device such as camera, sensors, lenses, speakers, and a set of processing units. The camera and sensors ensure the capturing and projecting of holograms, which is of prime importance for the functioning of the device; the speakers, on other hand, ensure the floating and surrounding audio that give a mixed experience along with the 3D view objects. It is also worth mentioning how different sets of processing units come together and process high volumes of data to produce an immersive experience. It would not be wrong to say that it is this combination of technological innovations that makes the HoloLens the awe-inspiring device that it is.
