Chapter 8. Share What You Have Got
In this chapter, we will discuss the subject of Holographic Sharing--a term meant to describe shared or networked experiences on the HoloLens. The ability to not only see holograms but to be able to interact with them socially is what makes mixed reality stand above all the other post-reality incarnations.
This technology can and most likely will be a great boon to every facet of our lives, from work and entertainment to learning and socializing. That is, of course, if we as developers do our job perfectly, and make the right software.
In order to achieve these shared experiences, we will have to take a few steps into the deep end of the pool and learn a little bit about a subject that is a little above the beginner level--computer networking.
Do not worry though; this primer will only scratch the surface of the topic.
