Reports in vRealize Operations
vRealize Operations gives the ability to create custom reports for any object type. Out of the box, there are over 50 report templates to leverage straight away or use as examples for your own reports.
The creation of reports is very simple, since views are used as the delivery container for content in the reports. This includes the text and image presentation types, which can be used to add context and detail to manually or scheduled reports.
Like views, report templates can be imported and exported from other vRealize Operations systems, allowing administrators to share configuration across environments.
Creating reports
When you create reports, you have the option to add Views and Dashboards to the report. When you add a view to a report, the view is filled with sample data.
Previewing data in the view helps you verify that the information displayed meets your expectations. When you add a dashboard to a report, the dashboard fills with sample data.
