What is business-oriented reporting?
While vRealize Operations is an excellent forensic analysis and near-real-time virtual infrastructure monitoring solution, it is a poor solution with regard to business-oriented reporting, even with its additional performance and capacity planning capabilities. Building reports around logical business structures such as services, applications, departments, business groups, organizational units, and so on, as well as providing visibility, utilization, consumption, and performance insights to key business and application stakeholders throughout an enterprise doesn’t come out of the box in vRealize Operations.
Providing compute performance, utilization, and consumption reporting for workloads, or groups of related workloads, is a frequent and painful task for storage, network, virtualization, cloud, and application administrators, as well as general IT administrators.
