Artificial neural network overview
Our brains perform many complex functions in the blink of an eye. Thus, in order to build algorithms that perform and learn using the same techniques as the human mind, it is essential for us to learn how the brain works. By acquiring a fair understanding about how the human mind functions, we will have better understanding of deep learning. The three major distinctive mind functions are:
- Thinking (analyzing, comparing, and judging)
- Feeling (happiness, sadness, and excitement)
- Wanting (motives, desires, and goals)
These three functions are continuously interacting in a dynamic process.
