How do I buy and download an eBook?

Where there is an eBook version of a title available, you can buy it from the book details for that title. Add either the standalone eBook or the eBook and print book bundle to your shopping cart. Your eBook will show in your cart as a product on its own. After completing checkout and payment in the normal way, you will receive your receipt on the screen containing a link to a personalised PDF download file. This link will remain active for 30 days. You can download backup copies of the file by logging in to your account at any time.

If you already have Adobe reader installed, then clicking on the link will download and open the PDF file directly. If you don't, then save the PDF file on your machine and download the Reader to view it.

Packt eBook and Licensing When you buy an eBook from Packt Publishing, completing your purchase means you accept the terms of our licence agreement. Please read the full text of the agreement. In it we have tried to balance the need for the ebook to be usable for you the reader with our needs to protect the rights of us as Publishers and of our authors. In summary, the agreement says:

You may make copies of your eBook for your own use onto any machine
You may not pass copies of the eBook on to anyone else

How can I make a purchase on your website?

What eBook formats do Packt support?

Our eBooks are currently available in a variety of formats such as PDF and ePubs. In the future, this may well change with trends and development in technology, but please note that our PDFs are not Adobe eBook Reader format, which has greater restrictions on security.

You will need to use Adobe Reader v9 or later in order to read Packt's PDF eBooks.

A hefty book and offers step by step instructions and in-depth explanations. It’s easy to follow, even in complicated things like setting up a brush for foliage (saves so much time from drawing individual leaves!)I particularly like the final chapter which guides you on ‘Finding your own manga look’, where it explains how certain tools can produce certain styles and how these styles can be interpretedIt’s a great book to have on hand if you want to move beyond the basics of the program and speed up your work process.

This was a must-have for me for learning the software! Really, I couldn't have done it without this book, as the youtube and online manual can only do so much for me (the people on youtube go way too fast and often don't tell you why they are doing something). I have found digital art, let alone software animation, to be EXTREMEMLY hard to grasp for several years now, so recently I've decided to get this book and buckle down tight, because I very much desire to master this art. I use the book alongside youtube and the online tutorials and blogs. With the book, I put aside my deeply ingrained aversion to writing in books (thanks, public school!) and decided to write all I wanted inside of it. I use labeled tape flags to mark my most needed sections and also put in star stickers and highlights wherever needed. It's fun to glam up my Clip Studio bible LOL. Whenever I find information either in the book or online, that I know I need but was really hard to find, I write notes on the blank pages at the back with highlights to help remind me what to do. This plan is working very well for me! Do whatever you need to do to learn, it's ok! ^_^ And yes, don't hesitate to buy this book if you need extra help learning Clip Studio, it's very worth it. And make the book your own!

It explains to tools in the program to make it easier to make manga and comic books with out having to repeat steps over and over and shows you how to ajust the tools to your liking

Update, 4/10/22. I've read most of the book now so I would like to update my review. This is a very useful book and it goes over how to set up your Workspace and how to use each tool in detail. It has many useful hints. I think some sections and tips are a bit randomly organized together but if you read it carefully, it is very helpful. My only wish is that the image quality is poor and it is b&w. But the actual content is very good. The rest can be supplemented by online and YouTube.----It is black and white inside and poor image quality though the color images are downloadable from a website. It does go through different aspects. I'm not sure if I will use it. Probably better to get from library or watch Youtube videos.

I've been using CSP to create professional manga for over 10 years and still learned new things from this book. The chapters are organised clearly so it's not a struggle to look for a quick reference on specific topics. The instructions are written in simple, straight forward language, though kids might struggle to understand some of the jargons. Having said that, I would still recommend my manga class students (kids, teens and adults) to purchase this book, so when they've forgotten the things they've done in class, they can look it up themself.I think the price is reasonable and would be well worth the investment especially for those who'd only started using the software for less than 5 years. CSP gets updated from time to time with added new features, but the book covers the basic features that never gets changed. You can look up tutorials online for free but this book takes away the hustle and will save you time wasted on badly written tutorials online.
