Testing Using Android Phone

In this section, you will learn to test what you have created so far using your Android phone and Visual Studio. There are a few steps you need to perform before you can deploy and test what you created on your phone:

1. On your Android phone, go to Settings | System | About.
2. Hit the Build number seven times, until you come to a prompt asking you whether you want to make your phone into a development phone.

3. Go to Settings | System | Developer options.
4. Make sure the USB debugging option is enabled.

5. Open Visual Studio 2017.
6. Go to File | Open | Project/Solution, go to your MyPodCast directory, and choose the MyPodCast.sln file.
7. Connect your USB to your computer and then to your Android phone.
8. Click OK at the Allow USB debugging prompt.
