Summary

In this chapter, we have looked at using contributed modules to extend the kinds of displays that Views can create. Our first was the classic rotating carousel. Then we built a Google map using data from our properties content type. Next, infinite scrolling was used to create a gallery of properties that expands as you scroll down the page, much like Facebook and other common sites. After that, we created an expandable FAQ page that includes pictures using the Views Accordion module. Then we used Views Field View to insert a list of open houses into a view of properties, including the open houses on the property they went with instead of all at the end like when we used a Views attachment display. Finally, we created a calendar of open houses using the Calendar module, with help from the Views Template module. Views is extremely versatile and extendable.
