I really liked flipping through "Growth Product Manager's Handbook" by Eve Chen. It cuts through the noise, laying out what makes working in growth both exciting and a bit of a rollercoaster. Being a handbook, it's very practical, giving you a sharper lens to tackle your projects with clarity, and really understanding what makes a Growth Project Manager shine in a PM world.The tone is friendly and straight to the point, packed with insights on user-centric strategies, data analysis, and teamwork, all key points in a growth strategy. Though, I did wish for more stories from different fields to see these strategies in action elsewhere, and a few more resources to dive into after finishing the book.In a nutshell, it’s like a laid-back chat about growth management essentials. Great for anyone stepping into the growth scene or looking to fine-tune their approach. It's informative, accessible, and keeps things real. I highly recommend it!

Eve Chen's The Growth Product Manager's Handbook is a master class on spurring revenue and scale for any enterprise seeking wide-reaching and long-term success. Unlike "traditional" product management which concerns itself on solving specific customer problems, this book taught me how growth product management (GPM) takes a holistic approach by focusing on the customer's overall journey and emphasizes systematic experimentation to improve business metrics.Eve thoroughly lays out the strategies and tactics growth product managers employ to advance these goals. She effectively uses real-world examples to make her concepts relatable to the reader. The book also does a great job of articulating solutions to anticipated problems and challenges organizations likely face in their various stages of development.The Growth Product Manager’s Handbook is an excellent, pragmatic approach to creating synergistic relationships among disparate teams within a company such as engineering, marketing, and sales; lifetime value of customers is optimized and the growth potential of the company is maximized.Highly recommended reading for those in positions within a company that are integral to achieving hockey-stick success.

The Growth Product Manager (GPM) book arms PMs with data- and customer-centric tactics, which are essential in this continually changing world of technology and consumer behavior. It places an emphasis on rigorous data analysis and continuous iterations and improvements throughout the product development process.Coming from a data background, I found the data-driven methods discussed in Chapter 7 very useful. It provides a comprehensive view into experimentation and iteration, emphasizing a data-informed approach as superior to a strictly data-driven one. It also highlights the role of human foresight, judgment, and creativity in analyzing and acting on data.The book touches on how AI and AR fusion could speed up various activities involved in the product lifecycle. In the last chapter, it emphasizes the important role that GPM plays in evaluating the applicability of AI adoptions into product design to avoid adoption traps; suggesting that integrating such innovative technologies into product design is complex, the GPM “must champion exploratory research, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration to capitalize on technological opportunities while mitigating risks.”Last chapter also nicely recaps the essence of the GPM role and its key skills discussed throughout the book.Future editions of the book could benefit from delving into how AI assists in applying the discussed frameworks and techniques, as well as the evolving role of the Growth Product Manager in the landscape of AI.So many valuable insights stuck with me, I’d like to highlight a few sentences captured directly from the book below:• “Performance metrics are the oxygen for growth.”• “Embrace a growth mindset, where every experiment, whether a triumph or a learning experience, propels you toward innovation and progress.”• “In dynamic markets, even the most compelling visions must evolve over time.• “The pace of change today demands that growth leaders embrace a startup mindset marked byhypothesis testing and rapid experimentation.”• “By always connecting products back to positive human impacts during times of uncertainty, growth product managers can stay centered while creating change.”• “The future remains unwritten. Customs duty are charges levied on goods when they cross international borders. It is a tax that is imposed on imported goods. These duties are charged by special authorities and bodies created by local governments and are meant to protect local industries, economies, and businesses.

The orders shipped to the countries that are listed under EU27 will not bear custom charges. They are paid by Packt as part of the order.

A custom duty or localized taxes may be applicable on the shipment and would be charged by the recipient country outside of the EU27 which should be paid by the customer and these duties are not included in the shipping charges been charged on the order.

The amount of duty payable varies greatly depending on the imported goods, the country of origin and several other factors like the total invoice amount or dimensions like weight, and other such criteria applicable in your country.

For example:

  • If you live in Mexico, and the declared value of your ordered items is over $ 50, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 19% which will be $ 9.50 to the courier service.
  • Whereas if you live in Turkey, and the declared value of your ordered items is over € 22, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 18% which will be € 3.96 to the courier service.

If your order has already started the shipment process, we will do our best to stop it. We want you to be happy with your purchase from Packtpub.com. We will not hassle you with returning print books to us.
