We have created many components either using Vue.component(), plain JavaScript objects, or single-file components engines. Some of the components we've created have been global components, while some of them have been local components. For example, all the refactored components you just created in the /components/ directory in the previous section are local ones, while the components you created in the What is a component? section are global ones. Whether they are local or global components, they have to be registered if you want to use them. Some of them are registered at the time of their creation, while some of them are registered manually. In the following sections, you will learn how to register them globally and locally. You will also learn about the two types of registration that will affect your app. We will be looking at registering Vue components, instead of passing around them.
