Public cloud services for hybrid deployment

Service providers realized that there was a genuine need for the hybrid cloud, and hence they have designed several services in order to enable this. Let's take a look at these services and the use cases that they can be used to solve.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS, the original pioneer in the public cloud, has services that can be used for several, previously mentioned use cases of the hybrid cloud. Let's take a look at some of them and the potential use cases where they could play out.

Storage gateway

This service enables hybrid cloud storage. It includes an appliance that can work as a virtual tape library or a file share, which enables tiered storage to be used on the data center/remote office side of things.

Use-Cases: Backup/DR on the cloud, cloud bursting.

Direct connect
