The Lean-Agile Way is an insightful and easy-to-understand guide that helps business leaders tackle the challenges of the fast-changing AI era. The authors do a great job of simplifying lean-agile concepts and providing practical tools for real-world situations. What really stands out are the visual models and examples, which make even complex ideas easy to grasp.

Lean, Agile, and Value Stream Management. We are given the basic building blocks and then those concepts are integrated to provide comprehensive technical, yet quite readable integrations to result in optimization of productivity, efficiency, and quality.Setting priorities, delivering customer-centric value, following strategy and prioritization. It’s a lot. But the book is well laid out. It describes what you should be learning every step of the way. Each chapter ends with a summary, questions and answers, and further reading suggestions. If you buy the print version, you are welcome to a free download of the ebook for ease of use. You will learn many new acronyms, but again, it is well written, logically organized and easy to digest. Helpful visuals add to its readability. I see this being a resource you will revisit over and over.**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**

This book is a fantastic resource that only focuses on one methodology or framework but Lean-Agile overall. It does a great job of setting the stage, digging deep into VSM, and solving problems without becoming overwhelming for the reader. I love how each section has a summary and review of questions to ensure you understand the concepts, along with the last chapters that walk through putting the concepts into practice and case studies. Lots of great resources and ideas are provided in this book, and VSM never seemed so easy.

Lean-Agile Way is a one reference source that a true practitioner (you know if you are one) can benefit from. I had the privilege of starting my transformation journey by learning in vicinity of seasoned Lean veterans and Shingo practitioners to becoming a SAFe consultant and then becoming a Product coach. It took me back to that journey and wish if there was a book like this at that time. There's no concept left untouched including ADKAR for change management. With that context, the book actually comes to life in Part 3 with BLAST (and dare I call it a framework like the authors do?). The attempt to combine lean and agile at execution level is commendable albeit not new. There are inherent risks to proposing roles like "Value Manager" & "Value Coach" in an Enterprise, because roles become political in no time and get exploited for all reasons not Agile. Yes, they do remind of RTE/STE and SPCs and have a lot in common. The comprehensive list of references after each chapter shows the diligence of the authors about the subject at hand which is not easy to harness even in a 386-page long book.I am unsure if the entire framework can even be attempted in an organization. Just like so many other classics like Project to Product, The DevOps Handbook and Accelerate, it does qualify to be in my library and put to use to optimize product delivery in a team of teams/value stream of value streams environment. Some may find it just right amount of information, others an overdose/cramming of everything in one. It all depends on where you are in the journey and continents travelled. Scrum Masters, Process Engineers and newly minted Agile coaches should gather more industry experience before having "Lean-Agile Way" in their bookshelf.
