Forensic tools are helpful for an investigator as they not only save time but also make the process a lot easier. This chapter introduced you to several available iOS forensic tools and included the steps to perform acquisition of an iOS device. Examiners should take further steps to validate and understand each tool that might be used as part of an investigation. In the next chapter, we will dive into Android forensics and provide information on what Android is, how the devices store data, and how to access the files and applications that are required for forensic examinations.
