Working with ARM templates


Now we come to the more advanced section of the explanations on the subject of working with the Azure resource manager. The content of this section is also divided into two parts.

In part 1, we consider the issue from the view of an IT professional. IT pros are less interested in developing their own templates but want to reuse their existing deployments in template form.

The corresponding feature in Azure resource manager is to export a deployment as an ARM template. This feature allows you to create templates of your deployment, download the templates to secure them in a source code repository, modifying your templates and of course the redeployment.

Part 2 (from the perspective of the developer) is easier to explain. This section deals with the topic of authoring an ARM template.
