Summary
In this chapter, we learned about the OpenStack container management service, Zun. We looked into the different objects in Zun. Then, we also learned about the components and the architecture of Zun. The chapter also provided a detailed overview of the workflow of a user request to manage containers in Zun. Then, we looked at how to install a development setup in Zun using DevStack, and we did a hands-on exercise using Zun CLI to create a container and start and stop various other operations on containers. In the next chapter, we will learn about Kuryr, which provides the networking resources to containers using Neutron.
