The book is a useful resource for students and teachers, and also hobbyists. It will help you to step up your Arduino skills from a beginner to very advanced level. I particularly liked the introduction to object oriented programming and creating custom Arduino libraries. Even though the first chapter is a basic introduction to Arduino, the book is meant for readers who have a little bit of experience with electronics prototyping. For example it is assumed that the reader knows how to use a solderless breadboard.The book has a lot of chapters covering a wide range of topics (sensor, motors, interfaces, programming techniques...) which makes it easy to find new topics for you to learn, even if you already have prior experience. Even though chapters 12 and 13 describe example projects (line follower and self balancing robot), this book is not a 'cookbook'. It gives a lot of background knowledge that help you to build your own robots from scratch. It also contains a lot of references to further reading (e.g. open source projects, library documentations, and all kinds of background info) that can help you continue to learn about any of the topics.

This book, Practical Arduino Robotics is an absolute masterclass! I have been building robots for years, and yet I learned something from almost every page. The author explains not only the ‘how” of robotics, but the why, which allows you to do more than simply parrot the info, and to develop your own ideas and projects. The coding sections are thorough and the code is simply beautiful. Although the projects start out basic, by books end you will understand concepts you might not have thought possible to grasp. By far the best book I’ve read on using an Arduino in the real world, and honestly the best book on robotics I own!

Actually, this book is full of helpful information for university students and engineers as well. I occasionally need to do simple prototyping for my work, and this became my go to book now.It covers the pros and cons of various sensors, actuators, and communication methods etc. This will help you level up from a prototyping novice to being able to choose the best option for your purpose.Since the author is a professional robot engineer, the book carefully explains the points that may be difficult in the process of actually assembling a robot.Even for those with experience in robotics, this book explains every aspect of Arduino's functionality with examples. You will definitely feel, "I didn't know that Arduino could do so much!"Highly recommended!

Maybe some parts would have been explained more thoroughly or give pointer to other material for more details, mainly in the last two chapters in building real robots.

Practical Arduino Robotics is a great book for anyone who wants to learn how to build robots. The book starts with the basics of a robot with sensors, motors, and communication. It is then followed by Arduino programming. It then moves on to building robots. Finally the book includes many projects that you can build to practice what you have learned.I found the book to be very well-written and easy to follow. The author does a great job of explaining the concepts in a clear and concise way. The projects are well-designed. They provide a good opportunity to learn how to use the Arduino platform.The book is a great resource for both beginners and experienced Arduino users.Here are some of the things I liked about the book: There are 4 parts with each part giving insight into different parts of the process. a. Get the parts b. Write good code c. Build the robot d. Work on advanced projects Insight into developing custom libraries and learning object oriented programming
