How do I buy and download an eBook?

Where there is an eBook version of a title available, you can buy it from the book details for that title. Add either the standalone eBook or the eBook and print book bundle to your shopping cart. Your eBook will show in your cart as a product on its own. After completing checkout and payment in the normal way, you will receive your receipt on the screen containing a link to a personalised PDF download file. This link will remain active for 30 days. You can download backup copies of the file by logging in to your account at any time.

If you already have Adobe reader installed, then clicking on the link will download and open the PDF file directly. If you don't, then save the PDF file on your machine and download the Reader to view it.

Please Note: Packt eBooks are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Packt eBook and Licensing When you buy an eBook from Packt Publishing, completing your purchase means you accept the terms of our licence agreement. Please read the full text of the agreement. In it we have tried to balance the need for the ebook to be usable for you the reader with our needs to protect the rights of us as Publishers and of our authors. In summary, the agreement says:

You may make copies of your eBook for your own use onto any machine
You may not pass copies of the eBook on to anyone else

How can I make a purchase on your website?

Choose the format you wish to purchase the title in; if you order the Print Book, you get a free eBook copy of the same title.

What eBook formats do Packt support?

Our eBooks are currently available in a variety of formats such as PDF and ePubs. In the future, this may well change with trends and development in technology, but please note that our PDFs are not Adobe eBook Reader format, which has greater restrictions on security.

You will need to use Adobe Reader v9 or later in order to read Packt's PDF eBooks.

Mark's does a great job explaining all the foundational elements of Terraform as well as provide great examples that can be applied to the real world. There is plenty of theory as well as applicable examples that helps the reader understand the 'why' behind the application of Terraform. Terraform workflows are Mark does a great job of running through the pros and cons of several popular workflows that can be found in the wild to help the reader understand and choose appropriately. Highly recommend anyone new or old to Terraform.

🚥 After reading this book I had the feeling and emotions of riding a motorcycle and taking the famous corkscrew curve of the Laguna Seca circuit. 🏍1️⃣ 0️⃣ 0️⃣ The book begins with a general introduction to the concepts of Terraform architecture, commands and structure of the HCL language.5️⃣ 0️⃣ Then we begin to approach the entrance of the curve, with an overview of architecture and automation in the Cloud: IaaS, containers, GitOps.🚨 When we get to chapter 7 we find that exciting descent, in which we accelerate in our knowledge, with a completely practical and guided explanation of a cloud migration and modernization process of a 3-layer application, with in initial lift and shift, then moving it to a Kubernetes platform, and finally implement it with a native cloud vision, through serverless elements.This exercise is carried out in 3 different cloud providers ( Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure ), which helps us both to understand the process of architecture and automation of deployments, as well as to understand the similarities and differences of each cloud, through Terraform deployments.🏁 Finally, we regained our peace of mind, and closed the book with useful tips for infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.🏆 I sincerely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn Terraform, and I find it an interesting resource for preparing for HashiCorp Terraform certifications.

Hands down best book I have read on terraform. The minute details when structuring your terraform code as well as provides bigger picture of things getting deployed in cloud using terraform. I would recommend anyone who is interested in learning terraform deployment !
