Over the past years i have successfully appeared and cleared various certification exams involving programming languages like Java,Clod platforms like AWS,Azure, Redhat etc.While appearing for these exams i have relied on certification books/guides rather than online content owing to the completeness and the incremental fashion in which the content is delivered to the audience.While most of the books primarily focussed on examinations syllabus and the objective of getting their customers get the exam cleared , the authors of this book Konrad Clapa and Brian Gerrad took a more holistic approach on getting their educated right from the basic of Goocle Cloud platform to the complex topics of Kubernets internal,mangaing and monitoring workloads and even using Machine learning wiith cognitive AI models on Google Cloud and one of the most advanced topics related to Multi and Hybrid cloud platforms Anthos.The salinet features which i particularly enjoyed while reading the book were:a) The focus on providing the minute details and pitfalls that a user might experience while implementing a solution or use case on Google Cloud.b) Actual Screen Shots from the Google Cloud interface provided throughout the book whereevr needed.c) Detailed explanation of the concepts and the simple flowcharts given to explain them even to a new user.d) Confidence building measures provided through actual blocks of code in the book and online supporting content.e) Focus on networking and security which can be complex in understanding.f) Practical use cases ragrding Payment Industryg) Tips provided for exam focus and finallyh) The Mock tests provided at the end for certification takers.Overall i can confidently say even though you are a novice ,intermediately experienced user or an expert already working on Google Cloud, this book will definitely enhance your knowledge and provide your with insights which will go beyond the working knowledge one might possess.Authors Konrad Brain have brought in their industry expertise and their vast certification exam giving experience spanning multiple technologies and platforms in writing this wonderful technical book for the benifit of their fellow IT professionals.

I recommend GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification Guide to everyone. I have experience with AWS and Azure, but wanted to enforce my knowledge on GCP and prepare for the exam.The layout of chapters and flow of the book is well prepared, consistent and that makes it easier to follow, understand and most importantly remember.Big Thank You goes to authors Konrad Cłapa (Google Cloud Certified Fellow) and Brian Gerrard for making it a solid experience, despite of extensive book content (650+ pages). Every exam aspect is touched upon and explained, with highlights of most important aspects of services, security, governance, high availability and geo-distribution.Also the links to official documentation at the end of chapters are nice shortcuts to dig deeper.Detailed screenshots and step-by-step instructions feel like an expert is sitting with you when you learn.I really liked comparisons of different kinds of services and scenarios for using them in a proper way.Everyone with some IT Pro skills should be able to understand and follow the book, but most importantly prepare for official GCP certification.

I have been working with Google Cloud Platform for almost 3 years and I'm currently preparing for the Google Professional Cloud Architect certification exam. After completing quite a few e-learnings I was looking for a full and up-to-date certification guide.In May 2021 there was a major update of the certification exam where many topics and services have been added and/or changed. As of today this guide is the only full and up-to-date certification guide for the PCA exam.After reading this book I can totally recommend it to every Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer or Cloud Professional who is aiming for the PCA certification! This book does not replace the need of practical experience in using GCP and its services but it gives you a great overview about it.I'm already looking forward to reading the book again in detail before my exam.------Update: I have used this book to prepare for the PCA exam and successfully passed it!

I just read the new 2nd edition and saw a lot of new GCP services and updates, e.g. eventarc, GKE Auto-pilot, GKE on-Prem, Anthos this and that, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, IAP, Cloud Armor, ...etc. The authors have put down many tips for PCA exams, e.g. need to know Kubernetes and Anthos more, less need for eventarc, ...etc... I like a lot of diagrams to explain some important concepts. Case studies and 4x Mock tests are helpful to prepare for the PCA exam. I think you can use this book for more than just PCA exam, e.g. I am preparing GCP Data Engineer Cert exam and can use the Data/AI/ML sections/chapters in my Data exam preparations too ! Same idea if you are preparing GCP Networking, Security cert exam with this book. Only suggestion is to put some of the code commands and yaml files in a github repo so we can re-use them easily in our learning/hands-on.

What is custom duty/charge?

Customs duty are charges levied on goods when they cross international borders. It is a tax that is imposed on imported goods. These duties are charged by special authorities and bodies created by local governments and are meant to protect local industries, economies, and businesses.

Do I have to pay customs charges for the print book order?

The orders shipped to the countries that are listed under EU27 will not bear custom charges. They are paid by Packt as part of the order.

A custom duty or localized taxes may be applicable on the shipment and would be charged by the recipient country outside of the EU27 which should be paid by the customer and these duties are not included in the shipping charges been charged on the order.

How do I know my custom duty charges?

The amount of duty payable varies greatly depending on the imported goods, the country of origin and several other factors like the total invoice amount or dimensions like weight, and other such criteria applicable in your country.

For example:

If you live in Mexico, and the declared value of your ordered items is over $ 50, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 19% which will be $ 9.50 to the courier service.
Whereas if you live in Turkey, and the declared value of your ordered items is over € 22, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 18% which will be € 3.96 to the courier service.
