Summary
Point-to-point was the only supported configuration in the initial versions of OpenVPN. In this chapter, we started off with a very basic point-to-point example. We introduced more features of OpenVPN, and saw that there are good reasons to use this mode in a production environment. In the last use case, bridged TAP adapters are used on both client and server side.
This is the only chapter in which point-to-point mode is explained. In the next chapter, we will properly set up the certificates needed for using the other mode of OpenVPN, the client/server model.
