Understanding problem scenario


One very popular use case of Elastic Stack is to do log management and analysis. Elastic Stack has helped a number of deployments with this scenario. For our example, we will also consider a company intranet, which includes several modules to help employees with the events and processes of the company. These modules are as follows:

  • Employee information system: This module helps us with user registration and acts as an information provider.

  • Training: This module helps us with setting up training, training registration, keeping record of attendance, and so on.

  • Performance management system: This manages all evaluation cycles and appraisals done for all employees.

  • Leave management: Employees use this module to apply, approve, or reject leaves. This module also allows us to set up default leave types and their count, holiday list, and so on.

  • Blog: This is the internal blog, which is utilized by the company employees to share their knowledge.
