With this, we are coming to the end of another rollercoaster ride with Kotlin. It's time to believe now that you did it. You developed an entire chat application using Kotlin.

Kotlin code has the ability to transpile its code into JavaScript to run on the browser side and also into Node.js to run on the server side. You learned many exciting features of the Kotlin language. Kotlin, with Node.js, is very futuristic. It is definitely made for the long haul.

With its support for all the platforms, one can really be a full stack developer, and build the backend of applications, browser pages, and mobile apps for both Android and iOS. Isn't this great?

Kotlin is a nice, simple, and concise language. With Kotlin, you get the features of a wonderful JVM ecosystem, and, in most cases, JVM can easily outperform Node.js.

In the next chapter, we will take you on a ride where you will build a REST API using Kotlin.
