How do I buy and download an eBook?

Where there is an eBook version of a title available, you can buy it from the book details for that title. Add either the standalone eBook or the eBook and print book bundle to your shopping cart. Your eBook will show in your cart as a product on its own. After completing checkout and payment in the normal way, you will receive your receipt on the screen containing a link to a personalised PDF download file. This link will remain active for 30 days. You can download backup copies of the file by logging in to your account at any time.

If you already have Adobe reader installed, then clicking on the link will download and open the PDF file directly. If you don't, then save the PDF file on your machine and download the Reader to view it.

Please Note: Packt eBooks are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Packt eBook and Licensing When you buy an eBook from Packt Publishing, completing your purchase means you accept the terms of our licence agreement. Please read the full text of the agreement. In it we have tried to balance the need for the ebook to be usable for you the reader with our needs to protect the rights of us as Publishers and of our authors. In summary, the agreement says:

You may make copies of your eBook for your own use onto any machine
You may not pass copies of the eBook on to anyone else

How can I make a purchase on your website?

If you want to purchase a video course, eBook or Bundle (Print+eBook) please follow below steps:

Select the title you want to purchase.
Choose the format you wish to purchase the title in; if you order the Print Book, you get a free eBook copy of the same title.
Proceed with the checkout process (payment to be made using Credit Card, Debit Cart, or PayPal)

What eBook formats do Packt support?

Our eBooks are currently available in a variety of formats such as PDF and ePubs. In the future, this may well change with trends and development in technology, but please note that our PDFs are not Adobe eBook Reader format, which has greater restrictions on security.

You will need to use Adobe Reader v9 or later in order to read Packt's PDF eBooks.

What is an eBook?

When you have purchased an eBook, simply login to your account and click on the link in Your Download Area. We recommend you saving the file to your hard drive before opening it.

I've been in working in the Salesforce ecosystem for over 13 years now - most of that on the commercial customer and ISV partner side. For the first 10 years of my hands on experience with Salesforce, I was the Business Applications Analyst for nonprofit membership organizations and learned about Fundraising, Donors, Gift Tracking, Volunteer Scheduling, Membership Preferences, and many many other concepts.If I had a book like the one that Melissa Hill Dees wrote in order to help me navigate all the things to learn and juggle, life may have been much easier for me.“Accelerating Nonprofit Impact with Salesforce” starts with basics about how to use Salesforce in the Nonprofit and how Nonprofit Cloud features and capabilities are used and implemented, but as the title indicates, this book goes further into “accelerating” a nonprofits use of Salesforce and your skills as a budding nonprofit administrator. The guide discusses how to (and when to/if to) customize and extend the capabilities of NPSP, testing considerations when changes are needed and data governance specifically viewed from a nonprofit point of view.What I really appreciate about this book is that Hill Dees added a “Resources and Additional reading” section to every chapter. This section includes not only trailhead and Salesforce help content, but also other great resources from the community and gems she has gained from experience.I appreciate this guide and will refer to it in future discussions with my nonprofit peers in the Salesforce community.

This book covers a wide range of topics including how to implement the various components of NPSP, how to increase user adoption, the importance of change management, and gives examples of various use cases.

This should be mandatory reading for anyone who plans to adopt Salesforce for a nonprofit organization.The book is written for technical and non technical people who are trying to get a head start on the Salesforce free and paid tools aimed for nonprofits.For non technical people it provides how each of the Nonprofit Cloud tools can add value to a nonprofit organization, for technical people provides a primer on how these tools can be installed and some examples to how to configure them.For those those long time Salesforce users who already use some of the Nonprofit Cloud tools it provides up to date information about what else is available and what new features might have been implemented in the products that you are already using.For last anyone about to get involved with the Salesforce.org or Open Source community this book will provide an overview of the most successful Open Source projects used by Salesforce and give you a good understanding of how they products work with each other.
