Description
Plotly's Dash framework is a life-saver for Python developers who want to develop complete data apps and interactive dashboards without JavaScript, but you'll need to have the right guide to make sure you’re getting the most of it. With the help of this book, you'll be able to explore the functionalities of Dash for visualizing data in different ways.
Interactive Dashboards and Data Apps with Plotly and Dash will first give you an overview of the Dash ecosystem, its main packages, and the third-party packages crucial for structuring and building different parts of your apps. You'll learn how to create a basic Dash app and add different features to it.
Next, you’ll integrate controls such as dropdowns, checkboxes, sliders, date pickers, and more in the app and then link them to charts and other outputs. Depending on the data you are visualizing, you'll also add several types of charts, including scatter plots, line plots, bar charts, histograms, and maps, as well as explore the options available for customizing them.
By the end of this book, you'll have developed the skills you need to create and deploy an interactive dashboard, handle complexities and code refactoring, and understand the process of improving your application.

This is a great book and my new go to resource for DASH apps! The author’s style is very readable, and his explanations of concepts are very well thought out. I wish I would have had this book when I first started building DASH apps (about two years ago), it would have saved me a bunch of time. The book covers a wide range of topics; from interactive histograms, to scatterplots, to maps, to deployment, and a lot more. The early chapters have a lot of useful nuggets (even if you are experienced with DASH), and the advanced chapters are a truly great resource. Highly recommend!!

The author's chapters are powerful in that they cover a wide gamut of Plotly Dash topics in an easy-to-understand manner. His didactic and concise style of writing allows the reader to fully grasp the power behind Plotly and Dash as well as set up their first app with ease. I felt like reading the book was an exciting and enriching journey that I undertook as I developed my Dash app together with the author. I would have loved to see more on the topic of machine learning.

This book is excellent at getting you writing your own app and scaffolding knowledge as you go.Even as an employee of Plotly, having this book at my side has been invaluable. It speaks plainly without being dry and delves deep with losing the audience on the way. Can't recommend this enough as a resource!
