I found this book to be an all encompassing guide on how to properly sort, preprocess, prepare, and use your datasets. Whether you are new to python and data analytics or a seasoned professional, I believe this book has value for any skillset. The level of detail in each chapter really aides in a wholistic understanding of each topic that takes the reader's learning further than just memorization, allowing the reader to have a complete understanding of the "why" behind each concept in the book. In particular, I found it extremely helpful that nearly half the book focused on data preprocessing methods when other textbooks would have covered this in too few of pages. Data preprocessing is truly the most important step in any analysis and this book definitely highlights the importance of the strong foundation.My favorite part of the book were the hands on exercises at the end of each chapter and case studies at the end of the book. I am a hands on learner, and these really helped me test each concept and fully grow as a data enthusiast. I highly recommend this book as an addition to anyone's library!

This book was very helpful as a beginner learning data science! I felt it had the right combination of technical and conceptual materials for beginners like me to learn fundamental concepts when working in Python. Every chapter is very detailed and even has practice problems to test out your knowledge. I highly recommended this book if you are new to Python or even if you have a good grasp of Python. It is always good to start learning the conceptual material first before learning anything technical and this book does a great job explaining concepts that I had difficulty understanding in my professional journey with data science.

The author’s is tone is very encouraging and conversational, which makes it feel like you have a personal tutor for your learning process. Unlike some textbooks which require significant effort to process the dense language and blocks of code, this book breaks things down into digestible bits so you’re never stuck on one page.Beyond covering the the technical details of preparing data, the author discusses the more philosophical aspects of data analysis in chapters like “Data - What Is It Really?” which leave you feeling wiser. A good analyst should know not just how to analyze data, but why, and what they are really trying to accomplish. The case studies in this book provide hands-on practice with data analytics projects, which will give you the confidence to tackle your own projects. Throughout the book and exercises, the author shares his personal hints and tips based on his experience, imparting useful analytical intuitions.The author is correct is stating that data preprocessing is the most time consuming and perhaps most important stage in an analytics project. As a graduate student researcher at Stanford University, I can attest that most of my time is spent cleaning my data, while the modeling often requires just a few lines of code. When you work with larger datasets, preparing your data in Excel becomes less feasible, and eventually you will need to use tools like Python to do the work efficiently. Among today’s businesses, where “data is the new oil,” having a mastery of this specific material is certain to land you lucrative and rewarding job. Assuming you have learned or reviewed some basic programming methodology in Python, this book will get you there.

This book is really useful for anyone trying to get into data science or related field without any prior background as the book details the step-by-step learning tutorials from the very basics. I am not new to the field and still it is handy for me to frequently check few tips and tricks. I hope the author will consider writing a sequel as well.
