The deliverables

The following sections will cover the typical deliverables in a remote usability study.

Study framework for sign off

The study framework is a summary of everything that we’ve covered in this chapter thus far. We have added a template for a checklist in the appendix, which can be used to ensure that all of the relevant questions have been asked, and the responses duly documented. Ideally, all stakeholders will sign off on the framework, in order to kick off the study.

Participant screener

Based on the participant profile, the UX researcher will develop a screener to recruit the right people. This is also a deliverable of the study, which we will discuss in more detail in the following chapter.

Discussion guide/script

The actual study will be led by either a discussion guide (for moderated studies) or a script (for unmoderated studies). Both are deliverables that the UX researcher has to develop as a part of the study. We will cover these in subsequent chapters.
