In this chapter, we looked at the business intelligence tools that NetSuite offers and showed how you can use these tools to have an immediate impact on your company. Start by setting up the standard dashboard portlets for your users and selecting the standard reporting options that are on offer. Teach your users how to manipulate the reports using the standard functions that we demonstrated in this chapter, in order for them to gain a better understanding of the health of the business.

That alone should impress your users, however, you can use the tools we described in the Saved Search section to take it even further. You can build complex searches covering multiple data tables using the filters on the Criteria tab.
