Workshops and collaborative solutions
Moodle allows you to easily incorporate activities that require students to collaborate. The Workshop solution is just one of them, and it is particularly useful because it is flexible and easily customizable.
The Workshop allows students to collaborate and also to assess each other's work. Work can be submitted in stages, and the students have the opportunity to contribute and also to evaluate/assess each other.
The value of collaboration is that it can encompass many different ways of learning and can accommodate many different learning styles. You can trigger emotional connections, incorporate prior learning, and connect to other subject areas. Further, you can incorporate strategies that accommodate visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and other preferred learning styles.
