Chapter 10. Workshop Solution

People learn from each other. When people react to each other's ideas, they start to relate knowledge to the course concepts, prior knowledge, and the world at large. They are often surprised to find that they remember the items and elements they have discussed with each other long after the course is over.

As we have seen in previous chapters, one of Moodle's strengths is that it is very flexible and it encourages you to develop courses that are highly interactive. Moodle's object-oriented approach lets you develop individual components, which you can put into different applications. At the same time, the tools and activities within Moodle encourage peer interaction.

One of the most effective approaches is to put together a Moodle Workshop. It is an activity that focuses on interaction, collaboration, and application of the knowledge learned. The Workshop allows:

  • Application of knowledge by creating a project

  • Collaboration with peers to amend or revise the project...
