Setting up appointments


We'll start by setting up functionality in our Virtual War Room application that allows us to set up meetings related to Virtual War Rooms. Luckily, ServiceNow has some OOB functionality for this: we're going to be using the Appointment [itil_appointment] table to track meeting details for our Virtual War Rooms.

Navigate to a Virtual War Room record, right-click the header, and go to Configure | Related Lists. Select the Appointment->Task option, and click Save.

We can now see the appointment related list on the Virtual War Room record. Create around five new Appointment records related to the Virtual War Room by clicking the New button in the appointments related list. Once you've created one, you can just right-click in the header and use Insert and stay after making minor tweaks in order to create duplicate records. We just need a few records to use as examples for a later step.
