Mobile Access Gateway and Secure Email Gateway overview


In addition to ACC, AirWatch also has Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) and Secure Email Gateway (SEG) as part of the enterprise integrations.

Mobile Access Gateway

As mentioned earlier in the chapter, Enterprise Integration Service (EIS) was replaced with two technologies, ACC (which we have already covered) and MAG. MAG is a separate role that serves as a relay between your users' mobile devices and the enterprise systems on your corporate network. With MAG in place, you can provide secure access to the following resources:

  • Internal document repositories with SCL on the user's mobile device

  • Internal content with SCL on the user's mobile device

  • Internal websites through AirWatch browser

  • Internal web applications through AirWatch browser

  • Utilize app tunneling through app wrapping

  • Utilize app tunneling through per app VPN (iOS apps only)
