Risks of cloud migration


Even with all the advantages that the cloud offers, there are a few drawbacks. Since cloud migration technologies are still in the nascent state, there are a few kinks that must be ironed out.

The following are a few risks arising out of cloud migration:

  • Sensitive data: Organizations have a lot of sensitive data, which they cannot afford to get leaked or lost. Since moving this data to the cloud is a time-intensive task, migrating such data to the cloud must be done with extreme care and careful planning.
  • Security: In today's digital world, cloud security has become one of the most indispensable needs. Special care must be taken while migrating the resources to the cloud to prevent hackers or intruders from attacking the critical data.
