The Moodle assignment can be configured in many different ways to implement Gamification. This takes some creative thinking to imagine what else these basic activities can achieve. It may be tempting to purchase a premade Gamification platform, however, when the simplest of all activities, the Choice activity, is used with a strong pedagogical support, this can be highly effective in raising motivation. Take some time to set this up once, and then duplicate the activity for reuse. Moodle allows you to import an activity from one course to another saving you from repeating your efforts.

Moodle's simple activities, such as assignment and choice, retain the power to create in the hands of the expert. At any point, you can easily update your activities.
