Your eBook will show in your cart as a product on its own. After completing checkout and payment in the normal way, you will receive your receipt on the screen containing a link to a personalised PDF download file. This link will remain active for 30 days. You can download backup copies of the file by logging in to your account at any time.

If you already have Adobe reader installed, then clicking on the link will download and open the PDF file directly. If you don't, then save the PDF file on your machine and download the Reader to view it.

There is a lot of empathy in the book with the reality of being a data steward in an organisation, the challenges involved, and the roadblocks. Great coverage of changing culture, using frameworks, guardrails, and technology to transform an organisation over time. It's a good reference for ideas to implement and I would highly recommended the book for anybody who has to deal with data.

Data Stewardship in Action is a comprehensive guide with good practical insights into data governance and management of data assets for organisations. The process and practice of maintaining data, ensuring data quality, cleanliness, accuracy, coverage and availability, are well captured by the author when he articulates 'data stewardship.'Furthermore, the essence for defining the standards, frameworks and data management practices in the creation of data policies for 'taking data through it's journey' (from inception to mastering and distribution, including workflows), and resolution of data quality issues through validation checks and exception management, are well documented with reference to real-world examples and use case studies to illustrate best practices.The 'age old' challenge faced between IT and business stakeholders in their differing needs and goals (and at times, competing priorities), is nicely emphasised as a key 'issue', that needs collaboration to resolve, in order to achieve a common goal for a long term strategic data management solution that all stakeholders are committed to maintain and support.In my humble view, "Data Stewardship in Action" is a must-read for anyone involved in data governance, data stewardship and those who are seeking to establish and create a solid framework to support data management operations and solutions that will scale alongside their long-term data strategies.Reviewer profile:I am a fintech services leader with over 20 years management experience in the delivery of enterprise data management solutions to investment management organisations across Europe, North America and Asia.
