Building a practical application

The objective of this project is to send data from an IoT device over cloud and monitor its activities in a nice visual dashboard. For this purpose, we will be utilizing some of the Microsoft Azure services. The following figure illustrates the steps we will perform in this project:

Let's get started by creating a Microsoft Azure account.

We will now create an account in Microsoft Azure. Microsoft are providing a free account for a year that allows use of their products with base line resources. They are also giving $200 credit with a free account for the first month, so that user can also test their services on an enterprise level without any limitations. Follow the following instructions to sign up for the service:

Point your browser to https://azure.microsoft.com.
Click on the free account signup link. It will redirect you to a login page. If you already have a Hotmail, Outlook, or MSN account, or any of your personal or enterprise domains...
