What is custom duty/charge?

Customs duty are charges levied on goods when they cross international borders. It is a tax that is imposed on imported goods. These duties are charged by special authorities and bodies created by local governments and are meant to protect local industries, economies, and businesses.

Do I have to pay customs charges for the print book order?

The orders shipped to the countries that are listed under EU27 will not bear custom charges. They are paid by Packt as part of the order.

A custom duty or localized taxes may be applicable on the shipment and would be charged by the recipient country outside of the EU27 which should be paid by the customer and these duties are not included in the shipping charges been charged on the order.

How do I know my custom duty charges?

The amount of duty payable varies greatly depending on the imported goods, the country of origin and several other factors like the total invoice amount or dimensions like weight, and other such criteria applicable in your country.

For example:

If you live in Mexico, and the declared value of your ordered items is over $ 50, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 19% which will be $ 9.50 to the courier service.
Whereas if you live in Turkey, and the declared value of your ordered items is over € 22, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 18% which will be € 3.96 to the courier service.

How can I cancel my order?

Cancellation Policy for Published Printed Books:

You can cancel any order within 1 hour of placing the order. Simply contact [email protected] with your order details or payment transaction id. If your order has already started the shipment process, we will do our best to stop it. However, if it is already on the way to you then when you receive it, you can contact us at [email protected] using the returns and refund process.

Please understand that Packt Publishing cannot provide refunds or cancel any order except for the cases described in our Return Policy (i.e. Packt Publishing agrees to replace your printed book because it arrives damaged or material defect in book), Packt Publishing will not accept returns.

What is your returns and refunds policy?

Return Policy:

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Packtpub.com. We will not hassle you with returning print books to us. If the print book you receive from us is incorrect, damaged, doesn't work or is unacceptably late, please contact Customer Relations Team on [email protected] with the order number and issue details as explained below:

If you ordered (eBook, Video or Print Book) incorrectly or accidentally, please contact Customer Relations Team on [email protected] within one hour of placing the order and we will replace/refund you the item cost.
Sadly, if your eBook or Video file is faulty or a fault occurs during the eBook or Video being made available to you, i.e. during download then you should contact Customer Relations Team within 14 days of purchase on [email protected] who will be able to resolve this issue for you.
You will have a choice of replacement or refund of the problem items.(damaged, defective or incorrect)
Once Customer Care Team confirms that you will be refunded, you should receive the refund within 10 to 12 working days.
If you are only requesting a refund of one book from a multiple order, then we will refund you the appropriate single item.
Where the items were shipped under a free shipping offer, there will be no shipping costs to refund.

What tax is charged?

Currently, no tax is charged on the purchase of any print book (subject to change based on the laws and regulations). What I really appreciated about this book was the fact that I really didn’t need any prior experience with business process automation and that topics were thoroughly explained with backgrounds given and clear varied practical examples given.This book was useful in understanding one’s own business processes and where they were currently limited - before going on to automate them.As another reviewer mentioned, I don’t know why you would want to waste time searching on the internet for answers on getting the most out of Zapier when you could just have the book at your side.I found the final chapters 22 and 23 great in providing tips on getting the most out of zapier for your business as well as highlighting the importance of challenging your own problem solving and zap building skills.An excellent guide for novice to advanced!

I am an employee in a business where we are encouraged to enhance our day-to-day productivity with automation and we use Zapier to achieve that. I have used Zapier for some time now and although I have found that my journey with Zapier has been a never-ending discovery of possibilities, when I want to do a new thing, finding information on how to do it has been a challenge. I have been waiting patiently for a reference tool like this book to be published. In the short time that I've had the book, it has not only served as a well laid out reference for every little problem I've come across, it has also opened my eyes to new opportunities of processes that I can automate.Chapter 2 really gave me some food for thought about reviewing my processes regularly to find ways to improve my automations. Chapter 4 has helped me to organise my Zaps better and share these ideas and thought processes with my colleagues. I have also found it incredibly useful to skim through the introductions to each of the chapters, making a mental note of what built-in apps I can use for different scenarios and where I can use them.I know Zapier releases new features all the time, so I'm looking forward to the next update of the book which I'm hoping will cover some of the latest built-in apps.I can see Automate It with Zapier staying on my desk for some time to come!

There isn't a single business or entrepreneur on the planet who couldn't uplevel their game with BPA (business process automation). Until there's deep integration for every SAAS to talk to every other SAAS, there's Zapier. But a lack of "tech confidence" keeps many of our clients from exploring this route. So this is the perfect primer on how to get started from "ground zero" and why it's necessary to scale their business. Our clients still won't necessarily want to "DIY," but by reviewing Kelly Goss' step-by-step Zapier processes, they'll be more educated and able to get over the fear that keeps them stuck. (For DIYers, Kelly acknowledges the "no-code revolution" and goes all the way to advanced level no-code integrations, so there's something here for everyone who's automation curious.) Highly recommend.

This book is extremely useful for anyone looking learn more about Zapier and how Business Process Automation can help companies and organisations better leverage the tools they currently use to create greater efficiency by automating workflows and allowing better integrations between apps. I was very impressed with how accessible and clear the book is, easily guiding the reader through the most basic steps of creating a Zapier account, to creating your first basic Zaps, to more advanced multi step Zaps, it is all super accessible and easy to follow.Chapter 2 gave me a lot of insight into how to do go about improving my processes before automating them, the only suggestion I could make as an improvement would be to have another few examples to work through as there are so many potential use cases for automation.Overall I really appreciate the well illustrated examples that allow a visual learner like myself to easily comprehend the material, I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to get to grips with the powerful world of Zapier!
