While providing his clients with solutions, architectures and trusted advisor services for 25 years now, he has also had a chance to dive deeply into Microsoft Azure, which connects and integrates with Office 365 robustly. During his years he has written several books on SharePoint, the Office clients, productivity, flexwork and Microsoft platforms. This book is his first international book aimed for a more diverse audience, and he hope's is that this book will help current and future developers working on the Office 365 platform to more easily provide superior solutions for their clients using SharePoint Framework.

Chapter 10. Working with Other JavaScript Frameworks

In this chapter, you will learn about working with other JavaScript frameworks in addition to React and Office React components. We'll discuss at a general level what we need to take into account when using different JavaScript frameworks and libraries.

One of the main changes in SharePoint Framework, compared to the model of software distribution Microsoft has given to SharePoint developers, is embracing the open source and giving the developer liberty to choose whatever framework or library he or she wants to use. One of the problems with previous SharePoint development approaches is that we have felt isolated from the broader development community, particularly in the world of web development. The SharePoint Framework is flexible enough to allow a developer in the future to be able to use new JavaScript tools and frameworks that don't yet exist.
