Managing physical adapter (vmnic) to dvUplink mappings

You can manage (add/change/remove) vmnic-to-dvUplink mappings using the Add Networking wizard. This is done on a per host basis, but you could use Add Networking wizard's template mode to push similar changes to multiple hosts if required.

How to do it...

The following procedure will help you assign/remove vmnic-to-dvUplinks mappings on a dvSwitch:

1. Bring up the Networking inventory using the vSphere Web Client by using the key combination Ctrl + Alt + 5.
2. Right-click on the dvSwitch and select Add and Manage Hosts…:

3. In the Add and Manage Hosts wizard, select the task Manage host networking and click Next to continue:

4. On the Select hosts screen, click on Attached hosts... to bring up the Select member hosts window:

5. On the Select member hosts window, select the ESXi host(s) to manage and click OK to confirm the selection...
