Custom reports


Access to standard reports is handled by the role's set of permissions, however, it does not provide access to a custom report that I just created. Access to custom reports is provided on the More Options tab on the Report Builder, for instance, go to Reports | Sales | Sales by Customer Summary | Customize, and open the More Options tab:

The Audience subtab

We can specify the ability to view this report by an individual employee, role, subsidiary, or department, or by setting up dynamically-generated groups of users, for instance, All Sales Reps who report to Jim:

 The selections on this tab respect the permissions in the role. In other words, if an employee is specified as a member of the audience of this custom report, but does not have the permission to see this category of the report in their role, they will not be able to view this report.
