Chapter 8. Mobile Content Management

Now that we have deployed what has traditionally been the basis of content delivery to users, we can move on to new opportunities starting with MCM. MCM opens the floodgates to much more than just e-mail delivery. With content management, we are able to provide access to much more internal corporate resources to the user's mobile devices securely. This content includes secure access to internal file shares, SharePoint farms, content repositories, and much more. Providing access to this content allows users to access, modify, and share their files all from their mobile devices, creating a more collaborative and productive environment.

In this chapter, we will review MCM at a high level. We will look at the reasons why we should be protecting corporate content and the importance of security with corporate content.
