macOS installation

Installing Jenkins in macOS is relatively easy and you can do it in a couple of ways.

Jenkins downloads package

In this section, we will cover how to install Jenkins using the Mac Package Installer (.pkg) files:

1. Go to the Jenkins download URL (https://jenkins.io/download/).
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see a list of operating systems that you can install Jenkins on.
3. Click the Mac OS X button link, and you should be taken to a page like this:

 

4. Either click on the .pkg file that you can see at the bottom of your browser window or double-click the Jenkins .pkg file in your downloads file:

5. Notice that there are two buttons in the bottom-right corner aptly named Go Back and Continue. Just click on Continue and you will go the next window, which is the license agreement.
6. Click Continue and make sure to click on the Agree button:
