If you have followed me, you know I am a massive fan of Cybersecurity, having been doing the Co-host of the Breaking into Cybersecurity Podcast and the Develop Your Cybersecurity Career Path: How to Break into Cybersecurity at Any Level.I have the honor to know Gerald Auger and Jax Scott, and I wanted to get and review this book because this is such an in-demand field, and we need to find new ways to skill up and get more people into these roles.Time for the meat of review:This book delivers on the title. It starts with setting the foundations of Cybersecurity, so if you are someone coming from another career field, it provides the needed background to understand the goal of Cybersecurity and what you need to do to deliver as a cybersecurity professional.It then provided an excellent overview of the different types of roles and a guide on helping you figure out which might be the best for you.No technical exprience? No worries, they provide you with some easy ways to get some of those hands-on skills in the comfort of your home.Ready for a job but not sure how to go about it? It is covered here as well.Wrapping it up provides great approaches to keeping it up with the ever-changing industry, staying on top of your game, and giving back to others.Overall it provides a nice balance of both hard and soft skills and would be helpful to anyone considering Cybersecurity or even using the materials to advance their career!
