Try adding the rest of the life cycle hooks to the components (you can list them with a comma, as follows: implements OnInit
, OnChanges
, and so on) and see when they are firing. If you are using Visual Studio Code as your editor, you can find a lot of information about the core classes and properties by holding the Ctrl key and hovering over the symbol with your mouse. You can also click on the symbol (while holding the Ctrl key), and the editor will take you to the definition of it.
