Summary
A well-designed network leads to a high performance infrastructure with better utilization of its resources. In this chapter, we have learned about the different types of network configuration, such as local area network, metropolitan area network, and wide area network. We have also learned about the different connectivity methods used to established these types of networks. We have also learned about the different bands used by wireless connections.
We then moved on to the more practical side of a network, designing and using a tool named Gephi to help visualize a network. We used a sample local area network scenario where we took two computers, two mobile phones, and a laptop that were connected to each other with the help of a Router. We went through a step by step guide to build the network diagram in Gephi, which will help to visualize the network for better analyses.
