I just finished reading "Becoming a Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Solution Architect" by Brent Dawson, and I must say it's an impressive and excellent tool in the field of Dynamics 365 F&SCM projects. Brent's expertise shines through every chapter, providing actionable insights that I'm sure will be invaluable for professionals at all levels.Starting off with an overview of the key bits including who needs this software and where a Solution Architect fits it is great, but I loved using a challenge in Chapter 1, which sets the stage for what to expect when working on Dynamics projects. It's a great wake-up call for those who may underestimate the complexities involved and provide valuable insight. The chapters on the Microsoft FastTrack Process and Integrations are particular standouts. They offer a deep dive into best practices, arming you with the knowledge to navigate complex project landscapes.Security, licensing, and data migration are often thorny issues in any project, and this book tackles them head-on. The guidance here isn't just theoretical; it's grounded in experience. What I appreciated most was the human element that Brent brings into the narrative. Chapter 11 on Human Change Management is a testament to his understanding that successful projects are about people as much as they are about technology.Lastly, the final chapters on project deployment serve as an excellent blueprint, tying all the preceding lessons together into a cohesive action plan or "logical cheat sheet".Highly recommend this book for anyone involved in Dynamics 365 F&SCM projects. For anyone not involved but wanting to learn, they do say a journey starts with a single step and reading this would be a great step to take on your journey.Kudos to Brent for crafting such an invaluable resource! 🌟

This will be a valuable resource for all aspiring Solution Architects and Project Champions for the clarity with which the overall phases, and scope of a project are elaborated with suitable examples, including the “do’s and don’ts” are clearly spelled out as a guide to the reader, from the business perspective. This book would also be useful for end clients who are seeking to implement Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, as it would guide such clients to avoid many of the pitfalls that clients encounter when starting such a project.
