Chapter 9. Integrating External Applications with Alfresco
In the previous chapters, we have experienced the content management features of Alfresco as a standalone application. We have used the Alfresco Explorer which is a built-in web application to access and manage the content within Alfresco repository. However, in a real scenario, many customers integrated their own business applications with Alfresco in variety of ways. In this chapter we will focus on the various ways of integrating external applications with Alfresco to leverage the features of highly scalable and high performance content management system.
